Fishing

Today we decided to take the girls fishing on Birch Creek. Dad didn't want to waste time with bait fishin', so he decided to show the girls the "right way" with fly fishing. It was a lot of fun to spend the day together and see how excited the girls were to be able to go fishing with dad.

Vacations in march

This last month has been quite a busy month for traveling.
Court went on a week long steal head fishing trip with a couple of his friends up to Orofino, ID. They pulled up a camp trailer and camped and fished all day. He said they had a lot of fun and caught some really nice fish. I'm just glad none of those fish made it home with him (I'm not a big fish eater).
Then a couple of weeks later the girls and I went to Portland with my sister to visit my other sister who just had a baby. The girls had a blast playing with their cousins and of course "helping" with the baby. They love babies!! And it was nice to spend time with my sisters and laugh about stupid jokes. Her husband just thought we were crazy and didn't understand why we were laughing so hard and something that made no since. Thanks "Tatum, Tyler and Timmy" for the laughs.

Court was also supposed to go on anther fishing trip with some different friends from Colorado while I was in Portland, but was cancelled because of the weather and the roads closing down. He was disappointed but I'm pretty sure he is already trying to make up for it this weekend :) The down side of all these trips was we only saw each other every other week and that was on one of Court's working weeks, so it felt like we really didn't see much of each other. :(

Here's a couple of pictures from the trips.
Look how pretty it was there

I Love this picture

Finally got the leash for Reese, it worked pretty good until she realized she wasn't in control of where she wanted to go. I felt like I was leading a really hyper puppy.
The Mexican restaurant we went to for lunch gave all the kids these awesome hats

Kindergarten here we come!

Tatum had Kindergarten registration yesterday and is now extremely excited to start school. I cant believe she is already old enough to go to school. She was so funny after they took her for her screening test, she came running down the stairs yelling out "Mom I did soooo great on my test." I never thought anyone could be so excited over a test. She even told me today when she was getting ready for preschool that she didn't want to go to preschool anymore she just wanted to go to Kindergarten. Poor kid has to wait a whole summer to start and poor mom has to answer the same question at least 4 times a day of "when do I get to start Kindergarten?" It was pretty fun to see her excitement though.

On another note:

What do you do with a kid who gets lost every time you go out in public? Yep that's our Reese. She got lost once again at Kindergarten registration. Let me just tell you the number of times she has wandered off...

1ST Time: We were at the mall, and the girls were playing in the play area. Well after a few minutes of playing I noticed I couldn't see Reese so I looked everywhere and asked Tatum along with all the other parents if they had seen her leave and of course nobody saw her. So by this time I'm starting to panic. Long story short she walked off with someone else's stroller and was down at the end of the hallway by Old Navy playing with the pop, shoes and all of the other belongings that were in the stroller.

2ND Time: We went swimming at the hotel Court's sister and family were staying in, and as we were sitting around talking in the lounge she once again disappeared. I was really nervous about this one because anyone could have grabbed her and took her into their room. We had myself and my brother-in-law Charles walking down each hallway and Court outside looking everywhere. Turns out she decided she needed to go potty and she knew where the potty was at because the older girls had already gone. When I walked into the bathroom she was just finishing and I told her "Reese you scared me I couldn't find you," and her response was "I sorry mama I just go potty" like it was no big deal.

And now the most recent : Kindergarten registration! Once again she had the stroller and was wandering the halls of the school.
I cant believe how fast she moves and how oblivious I guess I am. So if anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them.
I've already decided to that I need to get one of those kids backpack harnesses. I always thought it was so cruel to have your kid on a harness, but now I have absolutely no problem with them.

Who would have thought that such a cute little face could get into so much trouble.

The Big Party

Tatum had her birthday party with her friends on Saturday, she had a blast and we had a great turn out of 14 kids including her cousins Sadie and Ellie who were here visiting from Boise. I thought it would be overwhelming to have that many kids and on a Saturday that Court had to work, but thank heavens my sister came to help out. All the kids seemed to have a good time though.
Here are a few pictures from the party.

The cake turned out pretty good
considering that I ran out of frosting
and had to run to Walgreens an hour
before the party, and the only frosting
they had was chocolate. But we made due.

Thank you to all her friends that came and brought her
such fun presents. She loves them all. According to her
they were all exactly what she wanted for her birthday.

Christmas

Sorry it has taken us so long to get any pictures of Christmas posted. We finally were able to fix our Internet problem so we are all up and running again.
This year for Christmas we were able to have Court's mom, sisters and their families at out house, and I don't know about them but we had a lot of fun having everyone over. It was nice to spend time with everyone and just relax.
Every year my Grandma has a big get together with all of my family where we would eat and then all the grand kids would break open a pinata. This tradition has stuck with us and we decided to do the same tradition each year with our families. I think the kids loved it and we had fun getting the pinata ready (thanks Brock and Court for your engineering skills and fabulous wrapping job).

Weesey Turch

In a conversation with my sister Reese has figured out every one's last names, but got it a little confused. With my maiden name being Dye and our last name being Church, it can be pretty confusing for a kid. She came and had to tell me what every one's name was.

Here's what she said--

"Momma, I Weesey Turch and Memie died(Emy) and Deagan died-- Buggar died(her uncle Tyson) -- Audrey died but Tatum not died she go turch and daddy is Tortamey Turch, we not died we just go turch." I just said yep your right good job. It was pretty cute. She really has such a funny personality. You cant help but fall in love with her. Our lives would be so dull without her keeping us on our toes. Even though at times she is such a little turd, she fills our hearts with joy and laughter. We are so lucky to have such wonderful girls, they inspire us each and every day to be better people, and remind us what life is really all about.
